March's Facebook Calendar Timeline Covers Freebie

Time Flies

Where does time go?  Why do we have one month with only 28 days and then there are the months with 30 days and still others with 31 days?  Couldn't this have been evened out a bit?  Moon cycles?  I contemplate these things when I am late in doing something.  I lose track of all time.  I fell asleep at my desk again today and the phone woke me up.  It was a sales call - at 5:30 pm.  Being still in "The Land of Nod", I let the guy on the other end of the phone have it.  "Why are you calling me at 5:30 in the morning?  What is the matter with you people?" and then I promptly hung up.  After the cobwebs cleared and I realized what I did I almost called the company back to apologize - almost.  Hopefully that is one salesman that will quit calling me.  I doubt it though as they have been calling me for years.  I bought one DVD movie from them and they keep calling.  If I don't answer the phone, they call 3-4 times a day until I do.  Yes, I have told them I am no longer interested in their movies as my children are all grown up and no longer watch the type of movies they are offering.

2013 - Week 6 - Enter to Win a FREE Kit of YOUR CHOICE

It's that time again - actually past time, but here is the thread - just post in the comments the kit of mine that you'd like to win.  On Sunday, [02-10-2013] I'll pick, by random draw, a winner!  That person will win the kit that they have selected and named in the comments right here on this blog.

Just visit my store at Digi-ScrapShack and select the kit you'd like to win [this does NOT include "Bundles" or "Albums" (brag, photo, etc.) - just kits, word art, paper packs, commercial use items - basically anything but those two items I mentioned]. Leave your contact info and the name of the kit in the comments below.

I must have a name or way to contact you if you win - anonymous won't do and my crystal ball stopped working a few weeks ago. It's in the shop for repairs but I don't expect it back until next month. Also, you need to select and name one item, I will not select for you [That's the fun of this ---- YOU get to choose].

[Used my newest kit, The Roses:  A Rose In Winter for the above]

This Weeks Winner!

Oh my goodness, [as the adorable Shirley Temple was so fond of saying].  Where does the time go?  I can't believe I am so behind.  I'd say a day behind but it is now TUESDAY morning!  Here I was, just making a few things and realized that I didn't post the winner of the last "Win the Kit of Your Choice".  Ugh!  So much to do and create - so little time.

Well, it gives me great pleasure to announce that the winner to last week's contest is:  JOESIONUNES and I just sent the confirming e-mail with the instructions on how to claim the prize - Victorian Lady.

2013 - Week 5 - FREE KIT OF YOUR CHOICE

Sunday [today] came a little too fast for me this week.  I had wanted to get this posted much earlier in the day but have been so caught up in doing some of the things that need to be done around here that I kept forgetting....  The more I do, the further behind I get.  Anyway... let's get started before the day is completely gone.

Yes, it's Sunday and time to begin a new week and a new chance for you to win the KIT OF YOUR CHOICE from my store at Digi-Scrap Shack.

[kit used:  A Bird's Song]

Just visit my store at Digi-ScrapShack and select the kit you'd like to win [this does NOT include "Bundles" or "Albums" (brag, photo, etc.) - just kits, word art, paper packs, commercial use items - basically anything but those two items I mentioned]. Leave your contact info and the name of the kit in the comments below.

I'll pick a winner by random number on Sunday, February 3rd and will post the winner when I post the new Free Kit of Choice. Winner will be selected by random draw using Random.org.

This Week's 99¢ Value of the Week at Digi-ScrapShack

I'm a clutter person.  I like to have the things I love around me - not stuck in drawer or boxes and hidden from view.  And it's the oddest things that mean so much to me and that I consider - priceless.  If I could, I'd plaster the walls with photos and no, not the "studio" photos - the photos that capture some of my best memories and the mementos of my life.

When I was in the 4th grade, I had what was to become my favorite teach of all time.  It was a privilege to be in the very first class she ever taught.  It would be impossible to list all the reasons why I loved this lady so much BUT I was fortunate enough to have her for a teacher when I entered 6th grade.

Now you're probably wondering just what that has to do with this post.  I'll tell ya.  At the end of my 4th grade school year, this perfectly wonderful woman created cards for each and every student in her class.  They were made on white construction paper, folded so as to be tall and narrow.  Each of these cards were created PERSONALLY for the student she was giving them to - and there were about 30-33 kids in our class - with no aides helping her in anyway.  We listened.  We obeyed.  We showed respect. Each card had a little personal note and was addressed to us as she saw us.  Mine was addressed, "To My Little Bundle of Energy".  I still have mine and it means the world to me.

I also have the little goofball momentos of childhood - a "flattened penny" with The Lord's Prayer on it from a trip to "The [New Jersey] Shore", an EMPTY bottle of orange perfume that my Dad bought me on a trip to "The Blood Farm" in Boca Raton when we visited my Grandmother one year, a ring that my very first boyfriend made for me out of a "nut" in his metal shop class.  So many little things that mean a lot to ME but probably nobody else.  I am sure that when I am no longer walking this earth, all these little treasures of mine will be discarded and those memories lost forever in time.  It may be a bit egocentric of me, but maybe someday, one of my descendants would like to know a bit more about me than what can be found in old census records.  TIME TO "SCRAP MY LIFE" so that when these keepsakes of mine go the way of time as does all things, maybe someone will enjoy and keep [dare I hope that they come to treasure it as well?] a photobook I create about myself.

Back to loving clutter.  These frames are the "99¢ Value of the Week" and are "clustered" but I do plan on using these in some layouts myself and plan to CLUTTER them up with movie ticket stubbs, jewelry, humous buttons and anything else I can find and scan.
